4/13/2003-House of 1000 CorpsesA quick breakdown: Texas Chainsaw Massacre: 45% Natual Born Killers: 30% All Rob Zombie Videos: 25% 100% KickAss! I'm not a big fan of Natual Born Killers, as a movie. The style was cool,
and that's what Rob took from it. There was a heavy influence from the
Texas Chainsaws, both one and two. The creatures, especially toward the
end could easily have come from one of his videos. All in all the movie
worked real good as a whole, and I would recommend it to anyone who is
a fan of horror. I'd have to say that this
movie is deserving of it's own new genre, called horror-art. I'm planning on getting the soundtrack, along with the uber addition
of the DVD when it becomes available. The only problem was that I had
to see this movie at the Irvine Spectrum, the playground for all that
I hate. Teens with their "hardcore" gansta act, Goths trying to be
original like the billions of other Goths there, Yuppies going to the
trendiest nightclub. If only I could run through there with an axe handle,
swinging like a monkey on speed. Damn LifeStylers! I know we are social creatures, and that we all crave some sort of acceptance
by our fellow humans. But Gawddamn! I swear, these people could have come
out of a friggin factory. That's the real horror movie right there. A Night at the Irvine Spectrum-Written and Directed by Stabby the Clown.
